Giro d’Italia 2021 – Vincenzo Nibali will race despite broken wrist three weeks ago
Trek-Segafredo has confirmed that Vincenzo Nibali, double winner of the Giro d’Italia, will participate in the Giro d’Italia 2021 despite a broken wrist three weeks ago.
The 2013 and 2016 GC champion will travel to Turin for the first stage after a final medical check-up.
“We’re going to need a bigger boat! The shark is coming to the Giro d’Italia,” Trek-Segafredo wrote, quoting a famous line from the movie Jaws and in reference to Nibali’s nickname: the shark of the Strait of Messina .
