Please report me quickly in Rome, replies Mbaka APC
By Emmanuel Okogba
Catholic priest and spiritual director of the ministry of worship, Father Ejike Mbaka urged the Congress of All Progressives, APC, not to waste time executing its threat to denounce him to the Pope.
Mbaka was responding to Yekini Nabena, the APC’s deputy national publicity secretary, who in a statement said that calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or be ousted because of the current challenges is ungodly.
Mbaka addressed the threat alongside other questions raised last week during his sermon on Sunday.
Nabena’s statement reads in part: “One will wonder who Father Mbaka imitates because the Lord Jesus Christ did not threaten to bring down the government in his day, in fact, Jesus Christ obeyed and honored him. constituted authority.
“That’s why he paid his tax. We call on Father Mbaka to focus on his spiritual calling and to stop talking like politicians with whom he (Mbaka) is evident that he (Mbaka) has dined and won.
“If Mbaka has found another political ally, it is better to leave a political message to the politicians.
“Calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or be removed from office because of the current challenges is ungodly.
“Father Mbaka should not however push his luck too far because there is a lot to say to the Vatican and to the Pope about him and his sources of inspiration.”
Rejecting threats to denounce him to the Pope, Mbaka urged the party to do so quickly, saying: “If the Pope knows that I am speaking against bad governance, he will applaud for me. So please go to Rome quickly.
“Why I don’t even want them to go to Rome is because, if Rome hears about it, they can give me a position that I don’t like.”
